Taryn completed her Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to that she graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Degree in Health Sciences. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Taryn’s background in sports and active living contributes to her passion for the physiotherapy profession. She completed five seasons as a CIS athlete, playing on the women’s varsity hockey team at both universities, and was recognized as an Academic All-Canadian. Today, she stays active through daily Peloton workouts, coaching girls hockey, and outdoor activities with her family.
Taryn believes strongly in taking a holistic approach to treatment which stems from a thorough understanding of the human body. Her goal is to treat individuals in order to return patients to the activities they enjoy. Most importantly, Taryn focuses on communication and patient education in order to maximize results for patients through client centred care.
Taryn has a special interest in women’s health and has a certificate in pelvic floor physiotherapy.
She’s also the founder and CEO of The Brynlee Company, maker of ONDÉ, a menstrual support drink designed for women who move, extending her belief that recovery and performance go hand in hand.
